2.3 General Procedure for the AsymmetricDiels-Alder Cycloaddition in the Presenceof the Catalyst (BSH)
General procedure: Dienophile (1 mmol) and 0.15 g of the catalyst (BSH) were added to CH2Cl2 (5 mL) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature. After 10 min, 6 mmol cyclopentadien (Cp) was added to the mixture. 2 h later, the reaction mixture was filtered and the solid was washed with CH2Cl2. The organic phase was evaporated in vacuo and purified by column chromatographyto afford the pure cycloadduct 3, 5 and 7.
