Reaction Conditions:
with sodium t-butanolate;1,1'-bis-(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene;dichloro(1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphanyl)ferrocene)palladium(II)*CH2Cl2 in tetrahydrofuran at 100; for 3 h;
Steps:
4-Methoxyaniline (308 mg, 2.5 mmol), 4- methoxyiodobenzene (585 mg, 2.5 mmol), DPPF (166 mg, 0.3 mmol), (DPPF)PdCI2-CH2CI2 (82 mg, 0.01 mmol), sodium tert-butoxide (240 mg, 2.5 mmol) and THF (5 mL) was mixed in a sealed vial and stirred at 100 °C for 3 h in an oilbath. After cooling to room temperature DCM and water was added to the reaction mixture and the organic phase was passed through at phase separation filter and concentrated. The crude product was purified on SiO2 column (100% DCM) to give the product (573 mg, 99%). LC/MS (an20p5): Rt 2.3 min, m/z 230 [M+H]
