The compound 6 (502 mg, 2.4 mmol) was dissolved in 2.8 mL of aqueous solution of 5% NaOHand then 98% hydrazine hydrate (160 L) was added. The reaction was heated to 80 °C, and Raney nickel (5 mg) reduction was carried out. After 30 min, the reaction mixture was cooled and adjustedto a pH of 2 with concentrated HCl. The precipitated solid was filtered o and dried over NaOH indesiccator to obtain the compound 8 (329.9 mg, 78%). TLC (CH2Cl2:MeOH, 3:1 v/v): Rf = 0.53; 1H NMR(CD3OD, 400 MHz): δ 7.76-7.71 (m, 1H), 7.47 (d, J = 8.5 Hz, 1H), 7.39-7.33 (m, 1H), 7.12 (t, J = 7.5 1H),3.98 (s, 2H); MS: for C9H9N2O2 (M + H+) m/z 176.1 found; 176.1 calculated.
