Step 11 (0279) (0280) [00260] 4-[(1E)-1-([[4-cyclohexyl-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methoxy]imino)ethyl]-2- ethylbenzaldehyde: To a solution of [4-[(1E)-1-([[4-cyclohexyl-3- (trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methoxy]imino) ethyl]-2-ethylphenyl]methanol (550 mg, 1.27 mmol, 1.00 equiv.) in acetonitrile (10 mL), IBX (711 mg, 2.54 mmol, 2.00 equiv.) was added. The resulting solution was stirred for 4 h at 81 oC. The reaction mixture was cooled and concentrated under vacuum then diluted with ethyl acetate (30 mL). The solids were filtered out and concentrated under vacuum to afford 500 mg (91%) of 4-[(1E)-1-([[4-cyclohexyl-3- (trifluoromethyl) phenyl]methoxy]imino)ethyl]-2-ethylbenzaldehyde as an off-white solid. LC-MS: m/z = 432.10 [M+H]+.
