This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 61.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 80-100 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）

Vasorin（VASN）是一種單程I型膜蛋白，也被稱為蛋白質(zhì)狹縫樣2和SLITL2，它包含一個EGF樣結(jié)構(gòu)域、十個LRR（富含亮氨酸）重復(fù)序列、一個LRRCT結(jié)構(gòu)域和一個LRRNT結(jié)構(gòu)域。VASN在主動脈中表達(dá)水平最高，在腎臟和胎盤中表達(dá)水平中等，在腦、心臟、肝臟、肺和骨骼肌中表達(dá)水平最低。VASN可以選擇性地與TGF-β、轉(zhuǎn)化生長因子β（一種多功能肽，控制許多細(xì)胞類型的增殖、分化和其他功能）非共價相互作用。一般來說，VASN可以作為TGF-β信號傳導(dǎo)的抑制劑。
