This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 75.7 kDa. The protein migrates as 90-120 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

細(xì)胞間粘附分子1（ICAM-1）也稱為分化簇54（CD54），是免疫球蛋白超家族的成員，是一種細(xì)胞表面糖蛋白，通常在內(nèi)皮細(xì)胞和免疫系統(tǒng)細(xì)胞上以低濃度表達(dá)。該基因編碼的蛋白質(zhì)是一種細(xì)胞間粘附分子，以低濃度持續(xù)存在于白細(xì)胞和內(nèi)皮細(xì)胞的膜中。在細(xì)胞因子刺激下，濃度大大增加。ICAM-1可由白細(xì)胞介素-1（IL-1）和腫瘤壞死因子α（TNFα）誘導(dǎo)，并由血管內(nèi)皮、巨噬細(xì)胞和淋巴細(xì)胞表達(dá)。ICAM-1是白細(xì)胞上發(fā)現(xiàn)的受體LFA-1（整合素）的配體。當(dāng)被激活時(shí)，白細(xì)胞通過(guò)ICAM-1/LFA-1與內(nèi)皮細(xì)胞結(jié)合，然后轉(zhuǎn)移到組織中。ICAM-1與蛛網(wǎng)膜下腔出血（SAH）有關(guān)。許多研究表明，蛛網(wǎng)膜下腔出血患者的ICAM-1水平明顯高于對(duì)照組。呼吸道上皮細(xì)胞表達(dá)的ICAM-1也是鼻病毒的結(jié)合位點(diǎn)，鼻病毒是最常見(jiàn)感冒的病原體。
