| TETRADECANOIC ACID-1-13C Usage And Synthesis |
Description | Myristic acid-13C is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of myristic acid by GC- or LC-MS. Myristic acid is a 14-carbon saturated fatty acid. It is incorporated into myristoyl coenzyme A (myristoyl-CoA) and transferred by N-myristoyltransferase to the N-terminal glycine of certain proteins either during translation to modify protein activity or post-translationally in apoptotic cells. | Uses | Myristic acid-13C the 13C is labeled Myristic acid. Myristic acid is a saturated 14-carbon fatty acid occurring in most animal and vegetable fats, particularly butterfat and coconut, palm, and nutmeg oils. | References | [1] Russak EM, et al.
