SLC3A2 (solute carrier family 3 member 2) is an integrin associated protein expressed at high levels on proliferating lymphocytes and other rapidly growing cells. It is also known as CD98hc and 4F2hc. It belongs to the CD98 family. SLC3A2 has a common glycosylated 80?kDa heavy chain and a group of ~45?kDa light chains. SLC3A2 is located on human chromosome 11q12.

It helps to maintain intracellular leucine, a master regulator of the mammalian target of rapamycin complex1 (mTORC1) signalling pathway. SLC7A5 helps to absorb essential amino acids into cells.
