Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-Biotin antibody has been used in
- Immunofluorescence
- Immunohistochemistry
- Western blot
- Direct enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
Allgemeine Beschreibung
IgGs are glycoprotein antibodies that modulate several immune responses. Rabbit IgGs against target proteins are often used as primary antibodies in various research applications. Thus, secondary anti-rabbit IgGs conjugated to a detectable substrate are useful tools for the analysis of target proteins
Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-Biotin antibody reacts with rabbit serum and rabbit IgG. The product does not cross-react with human IgG.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Avidin, Streptavidin or ExtrAvidine show strong affinity interaction with biotin rendering the biotin-avidin system an extremely effective tool in molecular biology, protein chemistry and immunology. The high specificity of the biotinylated antibody to rabbit IgG and the stability of the biotin-avidin complex has been exploited in variety of reagents (Avidin, Streptavidin or ExtrAvidin conjugated to FITC, TRITC, Peroxidase or Alkaline Phosphatase), for the detection and quantitation of rabbit IgG.
