Peroxymonosulfuric acid, bis(trimethylsilyl) ester Chemische Eigenschaften,Einsatz,Produktion Methoden
Verwenden
Peroxymonosulfuric acid, bis(trimethylsilyl) ester is a strong oxidizing agent; can be used as a Baeyer-Villiger oxidant in aprotic solvents; oxidizes alkenes to ketones, sulfides to sulfoxides, and pyridine to its N-oxide.
synthetische
Peroxymonosulfuric acid, bis(trimethylsilyl) ester is conveniently prepared by adding sulfur trioxide solution (1 equivalent or less) dropwise to bis(trimethylsilyl) peroxide solution (in dry CH2Cl2) at -30 °C and stirring at that temperature for 30 min (equiv. 1). The yield is quantitative and the crude reagent can be used directly in oxidation reactions. Using more than 1 equivalent of SO3 will give bis(trimethylsilyl) peroxydisulfate.
