Synthesis of Aromatic Azides; General Procedure
General procedure: A solution of aromatic amine (1.0 equiv) in MeCN (2 mL/mmol) wascooled to 0 °C and t-BuONO (1.5 equiv) followed by TMSN3 (1.5 equiv)were added dropwise. The resulting solution was stirred at r.t. for 1 h.The mixture was concd under vacuum, diluted with hexane, and filteredon a short pad of silica gel. The azide was obtained in quantitativeyield and was used without further purification and isolation.
