In order to examine the effects of catalysts in the bioalcohol synthesis process, 7 types of transition metals (Fe, Co, Cu, Ni, Pt, Pd, Ru) were supported on a silica gel support through a wet method, followed by reduction reaction and calcination. (Calcination) was synthesized through the process. The synthesized catalyst was put into a mixture of methanol and butyric acid in the reactor. The reaction in the reactor was carried out at 360° C., and as soon as it reached the target temperature of 360° C., it was cooled and the reactants were extracted at room temperature and analyzed. In general, when the synthesis experiment of butyric acid and methanol using only silica gel without a metal catalyst was carried out, it was confirmed that about 95% of butyric acid was converted to butyric acid methyl ester.
