6.3. General procedure for catalysis
General procedure: Alkynes (0.5 mmol), NaN3 (1 mmol), H2O (1 mmol), catalyst 1(2 mol%) and TFA/DCE (2 mL, 1:1 v/v) were taken in a Schlenk tube inside a fume hood. The reaction mixture was allowed to stir for 2 h at room temperature. Then 25 mL water was added to it and theorganics were extracted with ethyl acetate (3 x 10 mL). The solventwas evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purifiedby column chromatography on silica gel (petroleum ether/ethylacetate) to give the desired amide product. Yields were calculatedbased on isolated products. GC yields were reported in presence ofinternal standard dodecane.
