Stage #2: with 20% Pd/C;hydrogen in methanol at 20;

General procedure: Nitro compound (1 eq.) was dissolved in MeOH (20mL/mmol) and the mixture was stirred for 30min under argon atmosphere after which Pd/C (20m/m%) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred under hydrogen atmosphere for 2h. The catalyst was filtered off and the solvent removed under reduced pressure to obtain the product.
