Step aExamples 1 to 7A 125 mL-autoclave (Hastelloy) was charged with 30 g of MH with a purity of 96.7% and the catalyst as given in table 1. The amount of catalyst was 33.3 mg in all examples. The mixture was heated to 60° C. and hydrogen was added at 2 bar. After reaction, when no up-take of hydrogen was observed any more, the mixture was cooled to 20° C., the catalyst separated by filtration and the mixture analyzed by gas chromatography.
