2,2'-dithiophene (0.03 mol, 4.98 g) was dissolved in 75 ml of acetic anhydride, and then 12 drops of 85% phosphoric acid were added dropwise to the reaction solution, and then heated under reflux for 1 h. Stop the reaction, pour the reaction solution into 500 g of ice water, and stir until the acetic anhydride is completely hydrolyzed. The crude product was filtered, and the crude product was recrystallized from 2,6-dioxane to obtain 5.8 g of a pale yellow solid with a yield of 77%, which was identified as the intermediate compound 37a.
