7 3.1. Typical procedure for preparation of 3
General procedure: A mixture of diazonium salt (100mg, 1 eq) and methyl anthranilate (1.1 eq) dissolved in dry nitrile (2mL) was placed in a sealed tube. Reaction mixture was heated to 80°C with stirring for 2h. Upon cooling, the reaction mixture was diluted with CH2Cl2 (20mL) followed by an aqueous basic workup with aq. NaHCO3 (5mL). The crude product was purified by column chromatography with the eluent of ethyl acetate/hexane (20%-40% EtOAc:Hexane) to afford the pure product.
