Method (i):
General procedure: A solution of an aromatic amine (9-41, 1.0 equiv) in DCE was added dropwise to a solution of triphosgene (1.0 equiv) in DCE was stirred under nitrogen at 0 °C. Then, Et3N (1.0 equiv) in DCE was added dropwise to the mixture. The reaction mixture was stirred for 0.5 h at room temperature and for another 8 h at 85 °C. After completion, the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to obtain the corresponding substituted aromatic isocyanates without further purification
