77C. 4-(4-Bromo-phenyl)-piperidine-4-carboxylic acid; A suspension of 4-(4-bromo-phenyl)-4-cyano-piperidine-l-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (13.3g, 36.4 mmol) in concentrated hydrochloric acid (150 ml) was heated to reflux for 72 hours.
