Anhydrous hydrazine (0.05 mL, 1.37 mmol) was added to a solution of Intermediate G (150 mg, 0.5 mmol) in 3.0 mL of dichloromethane at rt under an inert atmosphere. After 2.5 h, 4.5 mL of MeOH was added and the reaction mixture was stirred at reflux for 19 h. The reaction mixture was cooled to rt and the white precipitate that formed was filtered off. The precipitate was washed with ether (3X) and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo. The resultant solid was re-dissolved in EtOAc and filtered again. The solution was concentrated to afford 77 mg (97% yield) of pure product. ^- MR (300 MHz, MeOD) δ 4.08 (s, 2H), 8.34 (d, 1H, J= 2.7 Hz), 8.58 (d, 1H, J= 2.7 Hz). MS (ESI) (M+H)+ 143.9.
