Steps:
Benzene alkylation with cyclic olefi ns under theaction of [Et3NH]+[Al2Cl7]- (general procedure)
General procedure: 2-100 mmol of a cyclic olefin and 1 mmol of the [Et3NH]+[Al2Cl7]- inorganic ionic liquid were loaded to a glass reactor (V = 50 mL) under argon. The reaction was performed in benzene at constant stirring, temperature being 0-40°, during 0.5-8 h. After the reaction was complete, the mixture was filtered through alumina layer.The solvent was distilled off, liquid products were isolated by means of vacuum distillation, and solid products were isolated via recrystallization.
