10086] Dibromomethane (2 ml) and 1,1,1 -trichloroethane (200 mg, 1.5 mmol) were placed in a recovery flask under nitrogen atmosphere. Under ice cooling, aluminum tribromide (439 mg, 1.65 mmol) was added thereto, and the mixture was stirred for 1 hour. Ice water was added to the reaction system, followed by liquid separation, thereby obtaining 1,1, 1 -tribromoethane (GC area: 55%) and 1 -chloro- 1,1 -dibromoethane (GC area: 5%)
