Blood coagulation promotion is related to factors such as ambient temperature, reverse mixing, patient blood characteristics, coagulant performance, and blood collection volume, especially temperature. Therefore, in order to ensure full coagulation of blood samples in a short time, the following points should be noted:

 

1. When the ambient temperature of blood collection is lower than 20 ℃, it is necessary to appropriately increase the dosage of coagulant, increase the number of times of reverse mixing, extend the coagulation time, or use it in conjunction with a 36 ℃ water bath.

 

2. Centrifuge can only be carried out after the blood sample has completely coagulated, otherwise it may cause secondary precipitation of fibrin filaments, causing fibrin to float in the serum, which can easily lead to blockage of the probe.

 

3. It is generally recommended to store coagulant accelerators at 4-8 ℃ and avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Exceeding the recommended storage temperature limit is likely to damage the quality of coagulant accelerators.
