Product Introduction

Honeysuckle extract is a fully water-soluble cosmetic ingredient made from the dried flower buds of Lonicera japonica, a plant of the Lonicera family. The main active ingredients of honeysuckle are chlorogenic acid compounds, so honeysuckle extract has good skincare effects.

Honeysuckle is a perennial semi evergreen shrub with creeping stems. Initially white, it turns yellow, hence the name honeysuckle. Distributed in various provinces, including North Korea and Japan. Honeysuckle is mainly planted in Hunan, Shandong, Shaanxi, Henan, Hebei, Hubei and other regions in China. Honeysuckle flower buds contain organic acids, volatile oils, and flavonoids, which are commonly used traditional Chinese medicinal materials with low toxicity and side effects. They are widely used in traditional Chinese medicine clinical practice, as well as in industries such as medicine, cosmetics, and feed additives.

Product Physicochemical Property

Chlorogenic acid is an organic compound with the chemical formula C16H18O9. It is one of the main antibacterial and antiviral active pharmacological components of honeysuckle. Semi hydrates are needle shaped crystals (water). 110 ℃ becomes anhydrous compound. The solubility in water at 25 ℃ is 4%, and it is higher in hot water. Easy to dissolve in ethanol and acetone, extremely slightly soluble in ethyl acetate.
