The fisetin supplement is an organic compound naturally existing in Rhus succedanea L.

Physical property

The fisetin supplement is a yellow acicular crystal (thin ethanol) with a melting point of 3300C (decomposition). Soluble in ethanol, acetone, and acetic acid. In water, ether, benzene, chloroform, and petroleum ether, it is almost insoluble. Bright yellow fine needle crystal with a melting point greater than 3000C, 3480C.

Pharmacological action

1. Inhibition of prostaglandins: It can inhibit the production of prostate cord in 3T3 mouse fibroblasts transformed by methylcholanthrene, and the half-effective inhibitory concentration (ID50) is 42.0UM.

2. It has the ability to inhibit the rat lens' total sugar reductase; the half-effective inhibitory concentration is 10-6M.

3. Spasmolysis: For the small intestine specimen of mice, its antispasmodic effect against acetylcholine is 166% of that of papaverine.

4. A group of researchers from Japan and the United States found that rhubarb in vegetables and fruits can help improve memory through animal experiments.
