LeonardE et al. established A 4-step recombinant flavanone pathway of saccharomyces cerevisiae consisting of carnosilicate-4-hydroxylase, coenzyme A ligase, Chalcone synthetase, phenylpropanone isomerase, etc. The introduction of flavonoid synthetase into flavanone recombinant yeast strains can transform a variety of fopropanol acid precursors into flavonoid molecules, such as aspicin, apigenin, luteolin, etc.
