Eucommia ulmoides leaf extract
Release time: 2022-11-18
As people pay more attention to nutrition, food safety and environmental quality, there is a growing demand to ban the use of antibiotics and some chemical synthetic drugs in food and animal feed. The European Union has completely banned the use of antibiotics [1] as feed additives. It is mentioned in the "Development Strategy of National Feed Industry 1996-2020" that the use of Chinese herbs to replace chemical synthetic drugs and antibiotic additives has a broad prospect.
Eucommia ulmoides oliv is a member of the Eucommiaceae family, which contains high chlorogenic acid. chlorogenic acid, also known as 3-coffee quinic acid (3-car -- feoyquinic acid), is a phenylpropanoid substance synthesized by intermediate products of pentose phosphate pathway (HMS) in the process of aerobic respiration in plants (Gao Jinming et al., 1999). Recent studies have shown that the chlorogenic acid content in Eucommia ulmoides leaves is relatively high, ranging from 1 to 5.5 (Zang Youwei, 1989). Chlorogenic acid has a variety of pharmacological effects such as gallbladder, antibacterial, antiviral, hypotensive, increasing white blood cells and stimulating the central nervous system (Zhang Anling et al., 2OO1). It is an important raw material in health care products, food, medicine, cosmetics and other industries
