Amygdalin can specifically inhibit the increase of blood glucose caused by urea. The intensity of the effect is related to the concentration of amygdalin in blood. Amygdalin also has anticoagulant effects. The analgesic effect of amygdalin was confirmed by hot plate method and acetic acid writhing method in mice. Mice treated with amygdalin had no vertical tail response and no jump response induced by allylmorphine. Amygdaloside 15mg/ mouse,35mg/ mouse intramuscular injection can significantly promote the proliferation of mitogen-induced T lymphocytes in mouse spleen. The rapid frozen section of the right frontotemporal lobe of rat brain was incubated and stained with cytochrome oxidase. The staining system was observed by microscopic television image measurement system, and the data were processed by microcomputer. The results showed that amygdalin could significantly increase the activity of cytochrome oxidase under cerebral ischemia. Amygdaloside can improve the activity of collagenase type I secreted by human kidney fibroblasts (KFB), inhibit the proliferation of human kidney KFB and the expression of collagen type I, and promote the apoptosis of human kidney KFB. Amygdalin and cordyceps sinensis combined with primary monolayer culture of rat fibrous liver hepatocytes in vitro showed that amygdalin and cordyceps sinensis could significantly improve the synthesis and secretion of albumin in rat fibrous liver hepatocytes by ELISA. The effects of amygdalin on phagocytic function and rDNA activation of mouse hepatocytes were observed by Ag-NOR method. The results showed that amygdalin could significantly promote phagocytic function and rDNA activation.

Amygdalin poisoning is very serious. Most of them occur within 1 ~ 2 hours after eating into the kernel. Early manifestations are depression, restlessness, headache, dizziness, drooling, nausea and vomiting. The symptoms will get worse gradually. Respiratory depression, loss of consciousness, trismus, convulsions, and body temperature. Blood pressure goes down. It's often life-threatening.
