Ellagic acid is a bioflavone widely found in strawberries, grapes, apples, cranberries, blackberries and walnuts. Recent studies have shown that ellagic acid can inhibit lung, liver, skin, and esophageal cancer caused by chemical carcinogens in laboratory animals (THE size of tumors decreased by 54% after 25 WEEKS of oral administration). The readily available ellagic acid is expected to be developed into a new drug to compete with Taxol, the best-selling anti-cancer drug.

Bioflavones are mainly derived from plant materials, which are not only rich in source but also reproducible. The research and development of flavonoid products are still very few. Imagine that if 10 percent of the thousands of bioflavones whose chemical structures have been identified were eventually developed into new therapeutic drugs, hundreds of new drugs would be added to the international market.
There has long been skepticism about the safety of bioflavones. This IS BECAUSE IN THE EARLY 1950S WESTERN RESEARCHERS DEVELOPING PHYTATED PRODUCTS FOUND THAT CERTAIN FLAVONOID SUBSTANCES, SUCH AS QUERCETIN, WERE CARCINOGENIC IN TEST TUBES. After the report was published, bioflavones were put on the back burner. Fortunately, some people have recently come forward to "rehabilitate" bioflavonoids. For example, according to the Western medical journal, some people have done many animal experiments, large doses of quercetin, which was once considered to be a "carcinogenic substance", were fed to experimental animals, and no signs of cancer were found in their bodies after half a year. This proves that quercetin of plant origin is very safe. In addition, there are numerous reports confirming that quercetin is not only not carcinogenic, it is more anticancer.
