Macleaya cordata has sanguinarine, chelerythrine, protopine, cryptopine, bocconine, oxychelidonine, sanguirtrine, dehydrocorydaline, coptisine, corysamine, alkali A, alkali B, alkali C and various kinds of isoquinoline derivative alkaloids

 

Brief introduction:
Macleaya Cordata Extract (Synonym(s), Bocconia cordata) contains a lot of alkaloid, the main active ingredients are Sanguinarine and Chelerythrine, also some minority of Bocconine, protopine, α-allocryptopine etc. In Total alkaloid from Macleaya Cordata Extract, the content of Sanguinarine is about 2 times than that of Chelerythrine.

 

 

 

Pharmacological Action

1、 Application of macleaya cordata alkaloid on animals: Macleaya cordata alkaloid has good external bacteriostasis for animal pasteurella, salmonella pullorum and escherichia coli, and good therapeutic effect for yellow scour of newborn piglets.
