Apr 15,2024
Description
N, N-diisopropylethylamine is an aliphatic sterically hindered amine. The combination of N, N-diisopropylethylamine (DIPEA), and 1,1,1,3,3- hexafluoropropan-2-ol (HFIP) not only works as an electrolyte but also facilitates the electrochemical formation of cinnamaldehyde from benzaldehydes.
Uses
DIPEA is an important organic chemical industry intermediate, and it mainly contains the purposes of the following aspects: medicine, agricultural chemicals synthetic intermediate that (1) is important; (2) also can be used as a condensing agent, for example, be used for carbon monoxide, amine, and haloalkane condensation and generate the reaction of urea alkane; (3) as the catalyzer of the reaction such as ester hydrolysis. It may be used in the following processes:
As an organic base in the synthesis of indenopyrones.
As an activator for chiral iridium N, P ligand complexes can be utilized in the hydrogenation of α,β-unsaturated nitriles.
As a non-nucleophilic base for substitution reaction.
As a starting material in the preparation of bis[1,2]dithiolo[1,4]thiazines and bis[1,2]dithiolopyrroles.
Synthesis method
The synthesis method of the compound includes the following steps: 1) using paraldehyde as raw material, reacting in a solvent under normal pressure and a temperature of 22 to 28°C under the action of an acidic catalyst for 20 to 40 minutes; 2) in step 1) Add diisopropylamine and metal hydride as a reducing agent to the obtained reaction product and keep the reaction for 10 to 30 minutes; obtain N, N-diisopropylethylamine; the molar ratio of diisopropylamine to paraldehyde is 1:0.34~0.4, the molar ratio of diisopropylamine to metal hydride is 1:1~1.2; the mass ratio of acidic catalyst to diisopropylamine is 1%~5%; 3) the reaction solution obtained in step 2) After removing the solvent under reduced pressure, adjust the pH to 13, and then undergo liquid-distillation to obtain N, N-diisopropylethylamine.
Toxicity
Material is extremely destructive to mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract tissue, eyes, and skin. It may cause respiratory irritation, burning sensation, Cough, wheezing, laryngitis, Shortness of breath, spasm, inflammation and edema of the larynx, spasm, inflammation and edema of the bronchi, pneumonitis, and pulmonary edema.
