Methyl p-chlorocinnamate is an organic chemical substance, usually used in industry, pharmaceutical industry, etc. It is obtained by reacting chlorobenzaldehyde with acetic anhydride. Chlorobenzaldehyde, acetic anhydride and sodium acetate were reacted at 180°C for 13 h. After the reaction, the temperature was slightly cold. Pour into water, filter and wash filter cake with water. Repeatedly dissolve the filter cake with ammonia water until only a small amount of brownish-yellow viscous material remains. The ammonium salt solution was filtered, then chlorocinnamic acid was precipitated with 3N dilute sulfuric acid, and the product was filtered and dried. Methyl p-chlorocinnamate is mainly used to synthesize methyl bromomethyl cinnamate from the upstream raw material of the antithrombotic agent oxagrel sodium. N-butyl diimide bromide bromide was used to prepare methyl methyl benzoate with a total yield of 67%.
