Granuliberin R is a novel degranulation peptide of mast cells, consisting of a straight chain peptide of 12 amino acids. It originates from amphibians and can be isolated from the skin of frogs (Rana rugosa). Granuliberin R can act on rat peritoneal mast cells to release granules and histamine.
