Protein Kinase C (19-31) is an inhibitor peptide of protein kinase C (PKC), which retains 13 amino acids in the sequence and is derived from the pseudo substrate regulatory domain of PKCa (residue 19-31). The 25 position serine replaces wild-type alanine as the protein kinase C substrate peptide for detecting the activity of protein kinase C. Protein kinase C (PKC) regulates the function of other proteins by phosphorylating hydroxyl groups on amino acid residues of serine and threonine.
