Semaxanib (SU5416)是VEGFR(Flk-1/KDR)抑制劑，IC50為1.23 μM，比對PDGFRβ的抑制性高20倍，對EGFR，InsR和FGFR無活性。It was used to study the mechanism of development of cerebral vasculature in zebrafish hindbrain，and study the pulmonary vascular remodeling in response to hypoxia in mouse model of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
