Caloxin 3A1 is a biologically active peptide with a sequence containing 20 amino acids. Caloxin 3A1 belongs to caloxins, which are extracellular membrane (PM) Ca2+pump inhibitors. Caloxin 3A1 can inhibit plasma membrane calcium pump (PMCA), but does not inhibit sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+pump. Caloxin 3A1 does not inhibit the formation of acyl phosphate intermediates by ATP.
