CART (62-76) (rat, human) is a fragment peptide of transcript (CART), which contains 15 amino acids and can inhibit food intake. Weakening NPY induced eating and reducing food intake in food restricted goldfish, and inducing anxiety like effects in increased maze tests in rats. Regulating the activity of the striatal norepinephrine, cortical, and hypothalamic serotonin systems does not have a significant impact on the dopaminergic pathway in the rat brain.
