Spantide II is a Substance P analog peptide that is an effective neurokinin-1 receptor (NK-1R) antagonist. The sequence contains 11 amino acids and contains a significant amount of non natural amino acids. Spantide II binds to NK-1R and blocks pro-inflammatory activity related to SP. Spantide II can be used for the study of inflammatory skin diseases, such as psoriasis and contact dermatitis.
