Then the mixture was cooled to room temperature, poured into 300 mL of water, extracted with ethyl acetate (600 mL), washed with water (300 mL), brine (50 mL), dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. The solvent was evaporated at 40 °C under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by silica gel chromatography, eluting with a mixture of ethyl acetate and petroleum ether (1 :3) to give the title compound (9.2 g, 90.3percent) as a colorless oil. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCI3): delta 10.43 (s, 1 H), 7.54 (dd, 1 H, J1 =3.0, J2=7.5), 7.40-7.34 (m, 1 H), 7.54 (dd, 1 H, J1 =3, J2=7.5), 3.90 (s, 2H), 1.42 (s, 6H) |
