Inhibiting TIE-2 could disrupt the remodeling and maturation of new vasculature that angiogenesis initiates. Similarly, targeting the kinase domain binding site of VEGFR-2 to block tyrosine residue phosphorylation could hinder the onset of angiogenesis. |
