TBzTD has been developed to replace thiurams such as TMTD where the presence of nitrosamines is of concern. The dibenzylnitrosamine is not carcinogenic according to published literature. TBzTD is a fast curing primary or secondary accelerator in NR, SBR and NBR applications. In modified CR, TBzTD is a retarder when used with DETU. Compared with TMTD, TBzTD is safer to progress and provid longer scorch times than TMTD.
