Tert-Butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) is mainly used as an inhibitor for polyvinyl chloride.  It also used as a stabilizer for insecticide, as well as intermediate for dye and pharmaceutical.  The maximum amount to be used is recommended at 0.2g/kg.

Application

In the food industry, it is used as antioxidation for vegetable oil and fat, roasted food, fried food, biscuits, instant noodles, canned,dried and salted fish and meat products.
