Telmitan is a new antihypertensive drug and an angiotensin II receptor (AT type I) antagonist, used to treat essential hypertension. Replaces the angiotensin II receptor and binds with high affinity to the AT I receptor subtype (the known action site of angiotensin II). Telmisartan has no agonist effect at any site at the ATⅠ receptor, and selectively binds to the ATⅠ receptor. This binding effect is long-lasting and has no affinity for other chemicalbook interruptions (including AT2 and other less characterized AT interruptions). The functions of these other disruptions are unknown, but telmisartan does not inhibit renin in humans, nor does it inhibit ion channels, which may be caused by increased angiotensin II levels due to replacement of misartan. It does not inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme II, which can inhibit the action of bradykinin and enhance the resulting adverse reactions.
