Overview Aripiprazole is a novel high-fat-soluble quinolinone derivative. Its pharmacological properties are characterized by postsynaptic dopamine D2 receptor antagonist and presynaptic dopamine D2 receptor agonists. It can also activate D 1, D 3, D 4 receptors, antagonize or activate part of 5-HT1A receptors, and completely antagonize 5-HT2A receptors.
