Dapagliflozin propylene glycol hydrate is an orally active, potent and selective inhibitor of sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It lowers blood glucose levels by blocking the renal reabsorption of glucose and promoting the urinary excretion of glucose.
