Chemical properties: White crystalline flakes (with four molecules of crystalline water). Melting point 240-245 ℃ (anhydrous material). Soluble in water and ethanol, insoluble in ether.

Used as an intermediate for dyes. Used for manufacturing intermediates such as 1,5-dihydroxynaphthalene and amino C acid.

Used as an organic synthesis raw material and dye intermediate
