Uses
(E)-1-Tri-n-butylstannyl-2- trimethylsilylethylene can be used in the Pd0-catalyzed cross coupling of vinyl and aryl halides or triflates;1,2 a source of β-trimethylsilylvinyllithium.
Preparation
bis(tri-n-butylstannyl)ethylene is treated successively with molar equivalents of n-butyllithium and chlorotrimethylsilane to give (E)-1-tri-n-butylstannyl-2- trimethylsilylethylene.
