2-Butynylamine Hydrochloride is a useful reagent in the study of selective inhibition of bovine plasma amine oxidase by homopropargylamine. | [Synthesis]
The bis(cyclopentadiene) zirconium dihydride (0.01mmol, 2.23mg), But-2-ynamide (0.2mmol, 16.6mg), and pinacol borane (0.6mmol, 87μL) were added and stirred for 24h at room temperature under nitrogen (1atm) atmosphere, treated with hydrogen chloride in ether solution to obtain the hydrochloride compound (white solid, 1-amino-2-butyne hydrochloride ). The isolated yield was 73%.
