Cinacalcet is used for the management and treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism (in the dialysis population), primary hyperparathyroidism (where the patient may not be a candidate for surgical treatment), and for the treatment of end-stage renal disease or the prevention of calcification in dialysis patients.
